Looking back on 2018
2018 has been a good year.
What have I done or achieved?
Firstly, I started my blog. ‘Hannah’s Hope’ was created! It has been a busy year, so I have not posted as often or regularly as I hoped to, but I have got started and had some positive feedback. Hopefully, in 2019 my blog will continue to prosper.
I turned 27 years old in February.
I have passed all my Accountancy (AAT) exams that I have taken so far. Hopefully, I am not going to jinx my business tax exam results, which I think I should get at the beginning of January!
I had major surgery on my femur at the beginning of July, and spent 5 weeks in hospital. Followed by several months recovering. It took me a long time to get back to my ‘base line’ from before the operation. Unfortunately, my leg is not really healing so it is more or less still in two pieces. We are hoping that I will get funding approved for some specialist injections, to help with the bone healing. On a positive note, however, I have made some good progress.

Three of my good friends got married and I was delighted to have attended their weddings. Two of whom I met in hospital and have kept in close contact with. The third one was a very good friend from school. I was a bridesmaid at one of them and did a reading at another. I wish them every happiness in the future.
I have continued raising money for Starlight Children’s Foundation. A charity who granted my wish and is close to my heart. By making my handmade cards and doing a cake bake in October, in the annual Starlight cake bake week. This year I hosted my third annual cake bake.

I started doing occasional speeches/workshops for White Lodge. So far at the Brownies and Guides. They involve raising awareness of disability and White Lodge. I have became a Disability Ambassador for White Lodge, which I am honoured and proud to be.

I have only achieved all this with a lot of help from my amazing parents and Personal assistants (PA’s). A lot of which is unseen.
I hope you are having a very Happy Christmas and have a happy new year!
I hope 2019 brings you health and happiness.
Hannah x
